This lil family is going to be shades of green. The babiesand eggs were too little to do in chalk so I need to draw them in with a pencil.

Jacob's Room
After changing my mind a million or so times we finally settled on a
dinosaur theme for Jake's room. I figure dinosaur stuff is really easy
to find. And just what lil boy doesn't like dinosaurs?
Right now I have some sketches in chalk done. Still need to
draw a couple dinosaurs and finish painting.
This triceratops looks weird to me but I think its just his eye?
I need to angle Mister Longneck's head down to look into
the crib and add a pteradactyl in the sky.
I'm not sure if I ought to end the blue plateaus
right behind the dino's neck or do them all across this
one wall? I did decide I don't want to do them around the
whole room. What do you think of the colors?
Josey's Room
Joseph picked a mad scientist theme for his room.
As far as paint goes he wants "green with gears"
I'm going to suprise him with a painted cuckoo clock
on the clock wall (he collects clocks now)
and Jerry and a mouse hole next to one of the doors.
Other then that we have been gathering up jars for
"specimens"and just random weird looking stuff.
I have to say I think his room is going to be the funnest
to decorate but he's also the only one not unpacked yet.
He only has one (admittedly huge) box left but
I'm trying not to let myself do much in his
room until it is totally unpacked.

This little plastic man is my favorite "specimen" so far I got bored one day and painted this eyeball clock
I love that lamp. We got it at Salvation Army for 3 bucks.
More "specimens"
Ben's Room
Ben wanted just a Thomas room but I wanted to have
more options then just Thomas so we are doing a
Thomas goes to the circus theme ala Carnival Capers
He didn't come with us to the new house until we
had already closed and everything. He was very happy with it.
And he was even more happy with his closet "with builtins!"
Add in a non bunk bed and a super swell Thomas comforter and you've got deliriously happy
So I spent for real like an hour while the boys were at the park on this
only for Ben to get home and say I don't want that I want a circus tent right there
So I erased Thomas uno (actually he was like my 13th attempt) and drew a circus tent
only for him to change his mind again. So this is what we have now. I am adding three circus cars onto him. That blue is from a ticket booth that was in front of the circus tent.
Here's a closeup of Thomas
